Weekend activities

Hey guys..

So I went shopping this weekend, something I do almost every weekend 😝, and I got a whole bunch of new essentials for my fall wardrobe. I couldn’t be more excited to put some outfits together to shoot for you guys.

It’s hard to tell what I bought in the bottom picture of my clothes but I also invensted in a professional camera that’s arriving on November 21st. Once my camera comes I’ll be shooting my outfits almost everyday to post on here.  My iPhone 6plus just doesn’t do my outfits justice. I’m hoping to create a more professional blog based on my style before the end of December.

Stay tuned 🙂

It has always been about fashion for me.

A big warm hello to everyone that follows my page.

I know it has been a while since my last post but a lot has happened since then. It has been hard to stay focused on my true passion with a full time job mon-fri and the recent loss of my older brother. Every person, and every family has their own issues and struggles to over come, and this post isn’t meant to get so deep. I just wanted to clarify why I have been away.

This past weekend I brought myself to go shopping again. Honestly it is the best sort of therapy for me. It helps me take my mind off whatever is going on, and I feel like I’m set on a mission as soon as I enter the store. It helps me breathe and take control of my life. The old saying ” If you look good, you feel good ” never lets me down. I always know that my outfit is great when it gets towards the end of the day and I don’t even want to take it off! ( haha ). Being able to express yourself with your outfit is a great feeling. When I head to work in the morning, if I like my outfit, I KNOW I will have a great day. As silly as that sounds, it truly brings a self confidence boost to help me conquer whatever god brings my way.

Here is the outfit that I put together today. Let me know what y’all think! Ill be back soon;)img_1597img_1596e346fe01-a860-4532-b634-be10ead8b4e1

Learning experience

Making the move out to Las Vegas was definitely one of the hardest decisions I have made recently. So hard that I was thinking about giving up and going home my second week out here. The move completely ripped me out of my comfort zone and took me away from everything that I was ever use to. Ive been forced to get a new job, meet new people, start new friendships, start new conversations..pretty much, grow up. These new conversations with new friends I never would have met if I gave up made me realize how blessed I truly am. I have a great large family that I miss dearly, a roof over my head, self-love, motivation, and the will power to keep going.. to keep pushing myself. Ive learned so much already while Ive been out here and its only been a month. Im so excited to see where this journey takes me next! #BelieveInYourself #BeGrateful

Its been three days.

Its been three days since my last post. I guess you can say life has been catching up to me lately. As I sit here with my horrible, watered down cup of coffee (I’ve recently invested in my own coffee pot, instead of spending 100’s of dollars on Starbucks every day.. its not going well) Anyway.. I’m trying to let you in on whats been going on in my head.

It is so easy to wake up every day and get stuck in the same old routine, see and talk to the same people,  and look down on what this beautiful life has to offer. I found this quote scrolling through Instagram and It dawned on me that I need to stop over analyzing everything, stop comparing myself to other people, and stop comparing my life to those “Fairytales” on Instagram. As long as you are breathing, I truly believe you are blessed and here for a reason. Now that doesn’t mean that we can’t have fairytale moments every once in a while, it means that everyone is facing their own battles, no one is perfect, and neither are their lives. I have so much to be grateful for and I’m certain you do as well.

I believe its important to surround yourself with positive influences, and people that make you see the beauty in life. “Just living is not enough.. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.” Find whatever it is that makes your soul smile, and continue to do that. Every once in a while you will have a horrible day, but what are good days without the bad? I guess what I’m trying to say is, breathe, just breathe, and appreciate all this life has to offer. Family, friends, significant others, pets, new friends, old friends.. follow your dreams and never be living for another person, live for you.

A Name Changer

Okay, let me know what y’all think. I just changed my blog account name to “Nicolette’s Paige” instead of “Nicolette’s Closet”. Why you ask? Well my middle name is Paige and I thought it was clever :).. A synonym for blog is “page, diary, journel”.. Nicolette’s Paige (page)…. Get it?! L-o-l at me trying to be creative but it’s starting to grow on me. My new account name allowes me to talk about a variety of topics instead of just fashion all of the time.

About Me.

Hi Everyone! Heres a little short story about where I am in life, currently.
I am 21 years young, living in Las Vegas, Nevada. I just recently moved here from New Jersey, where I was born and raised. The reason for my move out here was because I’m seeking some adventure and opportunity for growth.. Never be afraid of change!…
My goal while I’m out here is to save up my earnings, start a clothing line, and eventually move back to Manhattan! New York City is known to be the fashion capital of the world, and I’m obsessed with the lifestyle, culture, atmosphere, and the excitement! I’ve been to Manhattan too many times to count and I can not wait to get back there!

Has any of my followers been to California? I haven’t, and I’m looking to visit since I’m only a 3.5 hour drive away.(CRAZY) Life’s all about making memories and experiencing new things, and you can never have too many!
I was originally writing in the “about me” section but I couldn’t stop writing and it turned into its own blog post..;)
~My week has been jammed packed with applying for part time jobs, and going on interviews, so I haven’t been able to keep my blog about the main thing I love, which is FASHION. Sooner or later you will see me strutting my daily outfits, also just posts about my day to day adventures. I hope you guys enjoy!

Fall in Central Park. Does it get any better than that?

All the best,

The Start of Something New!

Hey everyone, today has been a good day. I’ve decided that I will be starting my own clothing company. With my design skills, and my boyfriends knowledge of business I truly believe we can achieve the “impossible.” Now, I can’t describe what it is all about just yet!.. but in the next coming months it will all come together. I really see this becoming a great company and having unlimited growth potential.. STAY TUNED! I am so excited and thrilled to share this with the world!

Here are some of my collaborations..

Talk soon,

Feeling a little nostalgic.

So I’m feeling a little nostalgic today, I’ve found that moving across the country, away from family and friends, isn’t all that its cracked up to be. I mean this was supposed to be fun right..? I’ve been trying to tell myself that for the past two weeks that I’ve been here and I can’t seem to get past the culture shock. Things I find peace in are my morning cup of coffee, clothes, shopping, and my little puppy. Well anyway, to bring you back to where I am.. Im currently at the point in my life where I’m trying to figure out my career. Ever since I was a little girl with little bows in my pigtails I have been utterly obsessed with fashion and the freedom that comes along with it. Being able to represent who you are without saying a word inspires me. Although, it’s hard to create a career in fashion, most people say its impossible. But, with the right resources and investors I’m sure the sky is the limit.

Side note- Right now I’m currently across the country from my desired destination, Manhattan ( the fashion capital of the world )  I’m hoping to grow on my 9 month journey here, across the country …  save up my earnings, and eventually take myself back to Manhattan, where I will live happily ever after in a cute little apartment:) .. Kidding. I imagine I have a long road ahead of me before I even get close to that happily ever after.

I saw this sign today and in this moment it was the closest Ive ever been to California. I can’t wait to visit and see what its all about. I mean why settle on Manhattan when I’ve never seen LA… ? 😉

I’ll definitely be taking pictures while I’m out here to show my outfits and also posting more of my outfit collaborations. I hope you stay tuned..and thank you for reading my random rant xoxo.

Night out on the town..or in the big city!

Okay guys, this has to be one of my favorite looks for a hot summer night. It’s very simple, yet edgy and sexy at the same time. The top is all the rave now-a-days, it’s a black bodysuit paired with some retro high waisted shorts. When you’re looking for a more edgy look its always a fun idea to go with a classic platform. Not only are they easy to walk in, they are super trendy!

P.S all these looks I’m putting together are coming from REVOLVE.com. I love their site because it has a wide range of variety. But of course you can put these looks together from any brand of your choice 🙂 happy shopping!
